MCC Wolf Lake Tournament Results February 10th, 2018 Wolf Lake vs Magnolia Crappie Club - Wolf Lake (1) / Magnolia Crappie Club (0)
MCC had 44 teams to register for the challenge on Wolf Lake. I spoke with Rabbit Rogers on Monday before the tournament; he said the lake looked like a hog pen on the north. Fishing was not too bad; I even put a few fish in the boat on Monday.
I was thinking the lake would clear up before the tournament, however, on Tuesday night, the area around Wolf Lake received 5 inches of rain. I think the lake got 5 inches plus with the runoff.
Saturday morning everyone was fired up. The forecast was 1-2 more inches of rain. A lot of the teams had pre-fished on Friday. Their game plan was to land a couple of fish Saturday and they would have a good shot at winning the tournament, maybe even the big fish.
Remember the forecast was 1-2 inches Saturday the weatherman forgot that was per hour. The word going around among MCC members is “Somebody will catch-em”. Guess what, MCC Zeroed.
I'm not sure but I think this is a FIRST, for MCC. All I can say to Wolf Lake is, “The MCC Bunch will be back on another day and another time”
Next up is our Eagle Lake/Chotard Tournament. Yore Country Store will be open at 5 am on Tournament Morning with sausage and biscuits. They will have minnows and tackle for us all week. Rod……………
