MCC State Championship Schedule * June 18th- 4:00 PM Lake Ferguson & Lake Washington are off limits. * June 18th- Registration 5:00PM @ the Highland Club on the backside of Lake Washington. The tournament entry fee will be $20 per team. We will hold our Elections followed by a meal-catered by Cicero's. The cost for the meal will be $10.00 per person. Points money will be paid out and we will discuss tournament rules. * June 19th- 1st day of Championship begins on Ferguson. You must have you boat checked on top of the levee at the city front boat ramp at 4:45AM to 5:30AM with fishing time starting at 6 AM and end at 2: PM. Weigh-in will be held at the public ramp north of the city front (the same place as the regular season weigh-in) starting at 2:30 PM. * June 20th- 2nd day of the Championship begins at Lake Washington. Registration will be at Southern Star from 4:45 until 5:30 AM. Once again you must get you boat livewell checked and weigh-in ticket signed before you leave. Start Time will be 6:00AM and stop fishing time will be 2:00. You must have your weigh-in ticket turned in and be in the weigh-in line BY 2:30 PM. Weigh-in for the second and final day will be at Southern Stars. The weigh-in will start with the last place team from day 1 up to the top ten. The top ten will be done in a hot seat format so this should be interesting. |

| WOW! What a great day it was to end the 08-09 regular tournament season on. We couldn't have picked a better day-warm temperatures, sunny skies, and no wind. Now that's what we call a picture perfect fishing day. First Place was taken by none other than the famous Barnett team of Jane & Rabbit Rogers. This outstanding team weighed in 12.70#s of Barnett slabs. This was everyone's pick to win it before the tournament got started and it held up to be true. Also I would like to mention that Team Rogers was our 08-09 season Points Race winners. Congratulations on your 3rd tournament win for the season and another Points Championship to add to your collection. Second Place went to the rookie team of Earl Brink & Kenny Browning with a fine weight of 11.70#s. As I said before these two men are rookies to our club but they are no rookies to the winners circle in crappie tournaments. This was their 2nd MCC victory this year. Nice job and good finish going into the post season tournament. Fist Place Big Fish winners was another rookie team of Ray Williams and Rodger Wormack with an awesome 2.31# speck crappie. Wow what a fish!! Great catch men! Second Big Fish was won by Hugh Krutz & Steve Stevenson with a 2.05# Barnett monster. Nice fish and congratulations! Now with the 08-09 regular season in the books I want congratulate the team of Jane & Rabbit Rogers once again for another Points Championship to add to their collection. I also want to congratulate and welcome all of our new members and rookie teams this year as we are glad to have you and look forward to seeing you next year. With the year rolling on we turn our attention towards post season activates starting June 18th at the Highland Club on the backside of Lake Washington at 5:00 PM. This is where we will hold our elections for next years officers and board members, register for the Championship($20 per team), payout points money, and give a way some door prizes that were donated from our sponsors. We will also have a $10 per person catfish super that will be catered by Cicero's of Leland. As you can tell this will be a fun time for everyone so I suggest get to the delta and due a little practicing. Our end of the year banquet will be July 11th at Catfish Haven on Hwy 49 N. The will have a fish and chicken buffet set up for $12.95 per person. I can guarantee you will enjoy food and fellowship so if I were you I would mark it on my calender so you want miss out. | 08-09 Big Fish Winner Congratulations to the team of Kent Driscoll & John Harrison for winning this years Big Mama for the Year Award. Actualy Harrison was out that day and Rob Neblett(in the picture) was filling in as a sub when the fish was caught on that outstanding day on Ross Barnett. Great Catch Men! |
